Handing over overdue invoices to Debtist
With Debtist, you hand over overdue invoices to debt collection directly from easybill. You don't need to register with Debtist yourself: easybill sets up the account for you using your company details. The invoice is sent along automatically, and you can follow the status of the claim in easybill.
Debtist is the second debt collection partner in easybill, alongside mediaFinanz. This article shows how Debtist works in easybill. How Debtist then handles the claim and what it costs is explained on the Debtist partner page.
1. Set up your Debtist account
Finanzen > Zahlungsmanagement > Debtist (Inkasso)
- Open Finanzen > Zahlungsmanagement (Finances > Payment management).
- Select Debtist (Inkasso).
- Check your company details. easybill has pre-filled them from Meine Firma (My company).
- Choose a password for your Debtist account and complete the setup.

Everything about the claim is in a slider. Click the claim or its case number to open the slider with the overview.

Status of the claim
The slider shows the full overview and the current status of the claim. The status is updated every night.
Send a message or file to Debtist
In the same slider, you can write a message to Debtist or send a file about the claim, directly from easybill.
Payment received
If your customer pays you directly after the handover, record the payment on the invoice in easybill as usual. easybill reports it to Debtist automatically.
Good to know
- Automatic dunning: Only mediaFinanz is available here. You use Debtist by handing over individual invoices.
- Employee permissions: The permission in the employee groups is now called Inkasso (previously “mediaFinanz”) and applies to both providers.
